Warranty Policy

1. Warranty periods

• Hot beverage urns: 24 months.
• Chafing dishes and serving sets: 24 months (finish 12 months).
• Convection ovens: 24 months commercial, 5 years on heating elements.
• Commercial blenders: 24 months.
• Display fridges: 24 months commercial, 5 years on the compressor when registered within 30 days.
• Glass dispensers: 12 months against manufacturing defects.
• Cast iron: 24 months against casting defects.

2. What is covered

Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal commercial use within the rated duty cycle, including electrical elements, thermostats, motors, compressors and structural welds. Where a repair is not practical, we replace the unit or issue a credit at our discretion.

3. What is not covered

• Consumable and wear items: glassware, seals, non-stick coatings, fuel cans, taps subject to limescale neglect.
• Damage from incorrect voltage, power surges, water ingress, improper installation or lack of ventilation.
• Damage from misuse, unauthorised repair, abrasive cleaning chemicals, or use outside rated capacity.
• Normal cosmetic wear, scratches and discolouration from use.
• Freight for products located outside South Africa, unless agreed in writing.

4. How to claim

Email sales@velroviagroup.co.za with your order number, product serial number, a description of the fault and a short video where possible. We respond within one business day and diagnose remotely first, often resolving the issue by sending a part.

Approved warranty items are repaired by our workshop or a partner technician, with parts couriered free within South Africa. Turnaround is typically 3–7 business days depending on part availability.

5. Consumer law

This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, which entitles you to goods of good quality and free of defects. If equipment fails within six months of delivery, we will repair or replace it at no cost unless the failure is due to misuse.

6. Registration

Warranties are active from the invoice date. Compressor warranties must be registered by emailing your serial number within 30 days of delivery. Keep your tax invoice — it is your proof of purchase and is required for any claim.
